Top 25 Albums 2021, 20-16

Out of the hundreds of new release albums I had the opportunity to listen to in 2021, these are the top 25.
2021 was the first time in many years where I didn’t feel I could keep up with all the music that came out. For this reason I feel most confident describing this as ‘best music (that I listened to) of the 2021’. Perhaps there are album that I would have included had I heard them. Still, there were many great albums release this year and I hope that this list will help guide discovery.

As with the lists from the previous years, the criteria are an unscientific combination of groundbreaking new musical direction, memorable, captivating, and fun. In short, albums that I think are worth continued listening.
